Managing Work-At-Heights Course (MWAH)
  • Course Overview


      The aim of the course is to provide course learners with the requisite WAH knowledge to supervise, plan/assess and manage work at height activities so that work is carried out properly and safely.

      MOM Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officers can earn 20 SDU points.

  • Who Should Attend

      Any personnel involved in the supervision, planning/assessment or management of work at height activity.

  • Pre-requisites

      At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

      Recognise the common safety and health hazards.

      Take precautions to avoid injuries and diseases in the tunnels.

      Theory – 9.5 hours

      Practical – 6 hours

      Assessment – 5 hours

      Total – 20.5 hours

  • Course Outline


      Identify, explain and apply the relevant Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Legislations / Approved Code of Practice / Singapore Standards applicable to Work-At-Heights (WAH)

      Identify and explain the Roles and Responsibilities of stakeholders, competent and responsible persons

      Identify hazards, evaluate the risk, and implement control measures for WAH activities

      Review the necessary fall preventive / protective control measures for safe execution of WAH activities.

      Establish, evaluate, review and implement a Fall Prevention Plan

      Establish and implement a system for an effective monitoring and control of WAH risks

      Demonstrate competency in donning, checking and correcting of Individual Fall Protection Equipment and Responding to a fall emergency

      S$340 per participant (excluding GST)

      Funding support of up to 90% of course fees is available for Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents.
